Season 2 – Week 5 summery – Finger nibbling fun

Sorry about the delay in last weeks summery, one of the commissioners was struck down with an eye injury caused by a small child with a weapon. Officials are currently interrogating the teams to see if one of them is to blame. The extra few days have been used to modify the layout of the summery slightly. Week 5 saw most of the teams in action. North Division saw two convincing wins while South Division had two breathtaking last minute comebacks! The big result of the week was the 5 – 0 destruction of the Best of Bands at the hands of The Loren Rangers. While the Lizardmen suffered a physical beating last week, this was a massive moral beating which was the biggest win this season so far. The match also set a new attendance record for the league with an impressive 34,000 fans packed into the riverside dome.

The Strickland Slammers made an impressive debut against TutBones Re-United. The Khemri are still having a few problems with ball handling but have dedicated the time until the PitRat Cup to come up with a solution. The Slammers face entering the PitRat cup with only one game under their belt. They appear confident about it though.

With only moments to go both the ManHunters and the Deadheads where looking at wins but both of their opponents managed to turn it around in the last few moments, For the Deadheads it was the clouds covering the moon that robbed the team from performing at its best while the Manhunters blame confusion over their last minute draw when they claime the Ankle Biters swamped the pitch with too many rats and they couldn’t tell who was who.

Current League Standings

The standings have remained pretty much the same this week. The Rangers are at the top of North Division for the 3rd week in a row. The Strickland Slammers make their debut into the rankings at number 3. In South Division things remain the same as last week. There was almost a massive shift around but 2 last minute comebacks changed things back.
