Season 2 – Week 9 summery – Let the gloating commence

It has been a busy week for some. The travelling Kaiek Smashers managed to fit in two games this week against two different opponents.

Their first game saw them take on the Middenhein Manhunters in a thrilling match that saw them dominate the entire match. They where only one Casualty away from breaking the all-time record for “most casualties in a match by one team”. They are confident that they can break this record soon.

Their second match saw them play the Ankle Biters in a messy match that led to a 1-0 win for the Smashers. They where a bit disappointed with the result considering the hammering they gave the Skaven last time they played. They have already arranged a re-match this Thursday and promise to kill a few more this time.

These two wins add to the Slammers terrific season. They are leaders on casualties, they have the most kills, and with these two wins under their belt they are the new leaders in South Division. They are also one of the only teams to be undefeated so far this season.

The other undefeated team, the Loren Rangers, squared off against the Strickland Slammers. The slammers where coming out of a hot few weeks which saw them score some upsets against some of the “big boys”. Unfortunately this streak came to an end as the Rangers showed their normal skill with the ball and outrun the slammers with perverse pleasure.

There was a scary moment when the Rangers Star catcher Crownstar was taken off the pitch. They are happy to report that he will have no long term effects from the injury and will be back in action soon.

36,000 fans watched this game (a new league attendance record!). With turnouts like this the Rangers are considering expanding their stadium. Hopefully they will build doors big enough to let their massive egos through!

We demand that the league awards us with the full 3 points as our opponents forfitted the game by not turning up at the agreed time.
