Season 4 – Week 6 – All Shook Up

Reporter: Bob Fortune.

Another fantastic week saw some very interesting results. After writing this I went along to the website and saw the draw results for the upcoming Pepslay challenge, and we are certainly up for a heck of a competition. Like Gerhard (Whom I think is quite the moaner) I was going to make a prediction on who will win the competition overall. Now I know what you are all thinking. The Loren Rangers, well yes, yes I am going to put their name forward. But there is still one name that is never mentioned and who have been UNDEFEATED so far this season. It is none other than the Tail Slammers. Week after week when I go to watch their games I leave very impressed with the turnaround they have performed from last season which didn’t go all too well for them. Now you may be thinking, has Bob lost his marbles, but no quite the opposite. They have played against two of the weaker teams in the league but also two of the most established teams as well as a double champion team from last season, and they still held their own and also created a lot of upset results.  That will be my prediction for the Pepslay and I dare any of you readers not to put a bet on them. Anyway, moving on to this weeks summery.

In north a surprise game was planned to bring all teams in the mentioned division up to date and all square on games. This was between the Drakewald Deadheads and We Tree Fellows. The match was an entourage of up and down plays with each team desperate to get those glorious three points and catch up with the top two. But neither team could out beat each other and the match resulted in a one all draw. This doesn’t bow well with the Deadheads as those three points could of seen them only a point behind the top two and still in the running for the Championship IV. They will have to work hard to catch up now. Key player: #1 Bruce Cruel-Lobber of the Drakwald Deadheads for week in week out star player performance’s and this week was no different.

On to south and surprise, surprise the Loren Rangers took pole position after thumping the Grinders in another six touchdown margin to one. From the start the Rangers dazzled the fans as well as the Grinders after scoring some of their finest touchdowns to date. The Grinders however did put the pressure on the Rangers by coming back with a surprise touchdown by living up to their team name and grinding down the pitch. But it was to no avail as the Ranger came back with a volly of touchdowns coming in left right and centre. One special piece of statistic knowelege is that during this match that Caneran Everlong scored the teams 100th touchdown as well as the Open Scrambles 100th touchdown. This win gives the Rangers a dominating command at the top of the table and it will be quite hard for any of the other teams to even dent their lead. Key player: #7 Caneran Everlong of the Loren Rangers for scoring two amazing records in one.

Second match in south was between struggling Teotigua Predators and the Bile Blitzers. With a beast of nurgle storming into the Blitzers ranks, bookies thought that this would be a one sided game. But the Predators showed no mercy as they stormed ahead to their first HDWSBBL victory and silencing all their critics. Although I hear their is still one that doesn’t see their potential.  Key player: #7 Patariki of the Teotigua Predators for getting them off the mark and also receiving the MVP of the match.

Last match was in east between Atrocity Exhibition and the Mc Cauligh Reavers. This match has been highly anticipated since the draw of the Open Scramble. Both teams have won their previous two matches and it looked like this match would result in a draw. But to the surprise of the fans (as well as the Reavers head coach) Atrocity won the match two nill. An amazing amount of blocking by Atrocity lead to their victory. During this match two of the Reavers key players were killed would could scupper their plans in the Pepslay Challenge where they take on the Bile Bitzers of south division. If they can get a game plan in order then they should over come them. But the might of Nurgles rot may make them play a very ‘rottern’ game. Key player: #1 Grgrad Moulder of Atrocity Exhibition for a very spectacular kill and for getting the MVP of the match.

And that conculded this weeks game to game summery. Coach’s comment of the week was a very, very syhmpatheic one that wasn’t even…well really commented upon. It was the head coach of the Mc Cauligh Reavers who’s name is still unknown to this day.

Reporter: Can you comment of tonight match?

Head Coach: Not a Chance!

So I wish all the teams this week (mainly the Tail Slammers) in their campaign to win the Pepslay Challenge. May nuffle smile upon you all, you will probably need it.

  1. Fetch the straight jacket, he’s off to the nut house!!!

North has to be the Corsairs with the Tail Slammers second, but there second half of the season will be tougher for them, they struggled with the WTF and got lucky with the Deadheads, it can’t carry on.

The Pepslay could be anyones though and they could do well.

  2. i think it will be harder for us know due to loseing a skilled gutter runner, and my star runner miising the next game, im, at last count down four players for myy game against kkc this week but hopefully have a full compliment for my next game in 2 weeks.
