1st Half

A diabolical start by WTF as they set up to receive, only to end up taking the kick and being 1 down on the line of scrimmage. (Pillocks)
An early fumble by the Shadows allowed a pick up by Dougal who ran  the ball over into the end zone to score a TD.

WTF took the lead for the first time – EVER!!!!!

The subsequent victory lap by WTF delayed the match for 10 minutes.

The kick off put the ball in play and with a couple of quick blocks Smith rushed through a gap and scored a TD  1-1 in 2 turns from the restart.
The clock wound down for the rest of the half but Mcoist didn’t get up after an especially nasty nipple pinch and Bruce has to take the field.

2nd Half

As the second half starts Hamish gets his throwing gloves on (they were previously stolen by the Beaumont Blitzers and only just came back from the cleaners) and throws 4 completions this half, but to liven things up a rock flies out of the crowd from the Shadows area and hits Wheedon and down he goes, stunned.

The first is a beautiful long pass to Parky who sprints down the field, running passed the ball of fluff in agony and TD.

WTF are 2-1 up, Jock MacBigone looks at the scoreboard and almost faints.  To celebrate he jumps in the nearest keg of Bloodwiser.

The kick is made and the play is beautiful as the whole WTF line takes a step back and the Shadows punch at thin air.

Block are traded on both sides and players are going down and getting back up like springs, then in an effort to make up for previous errors, Wheedon sprints down the far side and trips over his own feet, Ouch!!!

It is a short pass to Hamish who makes a fantastic pass to Parky, caught cleanly he is well in range of the line and he fails to dodge away and goes down, dropping the ball into touch. (Slow motion shows a hand reached up from underground and grabbed his ankle, but as it was not seen by the ref, the 12th player for the shadows was not punished).

It is only another turn before the shadows put the ball over 2-2.

On the restart Bruce does not make it back a bite on his leg has gone septic.
Jock MacBigone is furious and sacks him on the spot, just before the apocathary cuts his leg off.

WTF cage the ball for the last 2 turns and it ends up a draw.

To make up for the missing player, Bruce junior is hired, we expect better things of ‘the bollocks’. A rookie Wallace also joins the line-up, funny blue paint on his face though, not sure about him as heard being uttered in the coaches office.

• This was the second time these two teams had faced each other. The first was last season during the Ankle Biter were the Shadows won.
