The Flayers needed a result to kick start their season after seriously under performing in their first game. But they fell behind to a determined Creeping Death team who were unlucky to be beaten last week. The Flayers hit back quickly to level the scores at the half, and helped their cause immensely by injuring Zara the Slayer who the ‘Creepers’ had hired to bolster their lines. The Dark Elves grabbed the lead after the break and would have been confident of going on to take the win, however, Norse teams are notoriously stubborn and Creeping Death hit back immediately to even things up again. It seemed as though the Norsemen might have done enough to snatch an unlikely draw, but the Flayers are champions for a reason and managed to dance their way through the Norse lines to take the game winning touchdown. The Flayers will be pleased with the points but might feel they could have played a little better, while Creeping Death will hope to turn their good performances into points sometime in the near future!
