Black Peak Thunderguts

High in the Mountains of Mourn, the Ogre Kingdoms had been spared the worst ravages of the great plague that wracked the lands of the Old World. Their Blood Bowl leagues had been cancelled nonetheless and the Ogres were left to hone their skills in other disciplines, especially the phenomenally popular pastime of Runt Punting. As the other nations dragged themselves through the worst of the dreaded rot, through more or less (mostly less) competent leadership, organised Blood Bowl started to begin again. Organisation has never been a particular talent for many Ogres, so the leagues in the Mountains were much slower in their return. Impatient, many Ogre coaches looked elsewhere to get their teams back on the pitch and refill their desperately depleted coffers. One such coach was Vod Bonehammer, who had kept a keen ear to the news spreading from around the world about how the game had changed, paying close attention to all the reports from more or less (mostly less) reputable sources. Vod threw together the best team he could manage, scooped up a handful of Gnoblars, invited along his tribe’s best punter and set his sights on HDWSBBL glory, after all, Ogres are top tier now… Aren’t they?
