Causing Havoc in the old world since 2506

Elfheim Razorhawks

With the collapse of the NAF many players found themselves devoid of a starting place in teams with any serious financial backing. Obviously the star players were able to still sell their skills to new teams at a much reduced rate, or ex NAF clubs that managed to pick themselves up and remain with any credibility after such a fiasco. Fingolfin Vanafindon was one such player, for many years he was a well respected Elf, gracing the underground caverns of many Dungeonbowls, Playing as a Thrower for the Celestial Comets he was well renown for his accuracy and a pass as swift as the most deadly of arrows, but that was a long time ago and the glory of the 2488 season with the Comets was a fading memory, blown away when his services were not required any longer…”Your time is over…….You pick up to many injuries……..The team has to slash its budget…………”
He didn’t need much persuading, he knew it was time, the game had been good to him , he had made much gold and had shrewdly invested it well away from the crooks and money makers that once swarmed around the big teams. But now new horizons had opened for Fingolfin, word had reached him of a proposed new open tournament played over a season of many weeks in the Old world. The league although relatively new had established itself over the last 5 years and was eager to have more team to give it more credibility and hopefully much needed sponsorship from large conglomerates that slowly were showing interest in the game once more. This was too interesting an opportunity for Fingolfin, so using his many contacts he started on his quest to create a team that would bring back those lost memories and days of wonder, but this time he would be an owner and a coach he would mould a team to play in the glorious sunshine and not the caverns of the Old World, fit, young and hungry for success, his team would play like heroes of old.
An old stadium was found in the Boarder Princes not far from the land of Loren, Small and surrounded by tall and ancient trees, Fingolfin set to work and employed many labourers to tidy up the old stadium, small stands were erected and adequate facilities for the teams and officials were created. When finished Fingolfin was well satisfied, maybe not the great arenas of the Empire or Bretonnia but very Elfish and much to his taste…..a start. He named this small arena “Edennost” out of the memory of a long forgotten land of the Elves that was no more, and his new team would bear the name of that lands greatest city “Elfheim”. Players were a lot harder to come across than old stadiums strange as it was, many old colleges and team mates had thrown in the towel, walked away from it all and settled down to god honest living. Fingolfin did managed to entice a few old hands who would help out in the backfield and locker room, so it was to youth and exuberance that Fingolfin turned to, young elves just waiting for their chance. Word soon spread that a new Elf team was to make its debut in the up-and-coming season of the HDWSBBL, trials and small matches were arranged and although many failed to make the grade they were offered other opportunities within the club and team “not every one can play, even a ticket boy or a cheerleader can help in our success”.
A notable number of players that did “make it” were a troop of acrobats that were in the area touring with a Circus when word got around. Athletes they were all, perfect for Bloodbowl and the fast and furious dodge and throw game that Fingolfin loved so much. The one thing that truly made them stand out was their ridicules Mohawks, Crests as tall as 2 foot with their side burns barely seen “Mohawks” scofted Rog, a player of some repute. “More like Razor hawks!” , “I like that” mused Fingolfin “Elfheim Razor Hawks…….Swift, Silent and deadly!”
So it was, the Elfheim Razor Hawks came to be, an unknown road lay ahead for many and a new start for some, the thrill of the match…. the roar of the crowd……the sound of bone on iron, but for all the magic that is………….BloodBowl.

Revenge

Christian Eagle of the Loren Rangers has made it his lifelong ambition to kill RSV Ogre Bowel-Gusher in honer of his father. Bowel Gusher killed Nenvik Eagle in the opening round of the Championship I.
