Lustrian Snake Queens
Formally known as the Goddesses of Murder way back before the NAF folded the Snake Queens went on an overseas tour to Lustria, during which a game was arranged with a secret team of Slaneshi worshiping Lizardmen After what seemed an age of trudging through untold miles of jungle the hardened Amazons finally made it to the Lizardmens temple stadium and the game was started.
At the end the Amazons had pulled off an extremely hard fought 2-1 win but SLanesh was enraged and cursed them, mutating their finest players into twisted parodies of serpent and woman. Disgusted by their now foul appearance the Goddeses retreated into the jungle and carved out an existence far away from the praying eyes and because of their mutations they also started to call out to Slanesh. The Snake Queens as they now announced themselves started to routinely carry out raides on the Norse coastal towns that game them provisions and fresh Males slaves both for labour and for their perverted dark pleasures.
As their settlement grew they started building their own stadium which they christened the Sepentinium and has a reputation for being the poison chalice of many Blood Bowl teams.
Now after many years the decedents of the original team under the watchful gaze of their coach Hera Natricinae, have returned to the Old World and are ready to take on the might of all before them.

The Drakewald Deadheads love recuriting new players, epecially if they play for the opposing team. In the 2507/08 Pitrat cup the Deadheads played the Strickland Slammers in the 1st round. During the replay the Slammers lineman Thomas Eckhart was killed during a drive. Fans were in tears after his death so the head coach of the Deadheads, always looking for a bargain, ressurected him and he joined the team as a zombie. Eckhart goes down in HDWSBBL history as the first player to be killed and then risen from the dead to join a team.
