Causing Havoc in the old world since 2506

Saphery White Towers

For many years the leagues of Ulthuan have watched with disgust how the game is played in the Old World. Cabal vision viewing figures have plummeted as leagues throughout the Old World have forgone the beautiful passing game for the gory and brutal grind of teams just spoiling for a fight.
As a result of this, the commissioner of the HDWSBBL league contacted the UBBL (the Ulthuan Blood Bowl League) about the possibility of bringing a new team into the league. One which would bring back the beautiful passing game and rekindle the interest of the Phoenix King’s subjects.
After long and lucrative – for the elves – talks a deal was struck that a “top quality” team from the UBB minor leagues would be transferred on a one season trial to the HDWSBBL. That team had enjoyed some success in its early days, advancing to the majors and losing in a close playoff game to the mighty Tor Elyr Everchosen. Since then the team had fallen from grace their star thrower Jaq’elis Roonirion was aging and plagued by injury as well as head coach, the once great Ton’ay DAmat’erion of the Galadrieth Gladiators had gained weight and slipped into a coaching slump.
UBBL commissioner Good’elise called up team owner A. Moranion and gave him one last chance. Show the Old World what High Elf Blood Bowl was or forever be banned from the league. With that the aging Moranion poured his last savings into the team and handed control over to his enthusiastic daughter Chri’stel Pagathi Moranion who set about signing new players and training for the season ahead.
Training camp began under the glittering spires of the team’s namesake the White Tower of Hoeth in the summer of 2516. All was going well until a few days before they sailed for the Old World when star thrower Roonirion took a nasty hit from a rookie blitzer, damaging his back and forcing him to miss the start of the season. Reluctantly DAmat’erion handed the starting role to the overly confident rookie backup, self-named ‘Swoopin’ Wi’leh Beh’men. With this controversy at the front of their minds the team loaded onto the tour ship and sailed for glory or disgrace.
