Strickland Slammers
The Slammers burst onto the scene at the start of the 2507/08 season. Due to a lack of fan fare most pundits wrote them off at once. The Slammers quickly proved them wrong though by winning week after week. The only roadblock to them winning the Open Scramble 2507/08 were two losses to the Loren Rangers. As it turned out, they would be the only losses for a long time (and the Slammers eventually defeated them in the final of the Championship II).
During their rise to power the Slammers have broken bones and records. The Best of Bands will testify to this as the Slammers caused 10 casualties during a single game against them. The players have performed exceedingly well as individuals. Thrower Dieter Berbartov has barged his way into the top passers list and Gut Buster the Ogre is arguably the best “Big Guy” of all time in the HDWSBBL.
No matter what happens to the Slammers from this point on, they have already booked their place in the HDWSBBL hall of fame.

Mickey Finns - FROM HELL!
It was after a particularily bad game by the Innsmouth Shadows against the Mc Cauligh Reavers, where no less than 6 of the Shadow's players had ended up unconcious or worse.
The Shadows team coach Joseph Curwen discovered that his teams half-time refreshments had been spiked with sleeping powder.
Curwen was just too impressed that the Reavers had found a concoction that could knock out a necromantic team to be all that angry, and to this day he continues to try and obtain the recipe for himself!
