The Asgard Marauders

Hagar and his warband had journeyed far and wide outside the borders of Norsica acquiring goods of all kinds. On one venture there had been a commotion in nearby larger town. Hagar sent his scouts to discover the source. They reported that a weird game was being played for the god Nuffle. It involved inflicting pain on the opposition and teams gained reputations and money. Hagar decided to form a Team for this game of Blood Bowl. To gain an advantage he would use men who had succumbed to lycanthropes and would send the rest of his band to catch a Yeti from the ice mountains. May Odin guide us.

The Ragnarok stadium is named after the battle ground of the gods and is situated near the Norse / Human border by the Bifrost Bridge. It has taken 6 months to build using the manpower from many visited lands who have now been given their freedom. The Stadium is a wooden construction based on the design of the Great Halls, encircling the pitch and can hold 40,000 fans. By agreement of all the Norse lords it has been declared a “free town” being the only Norse settlement to allow free passage.

The 2012 / 13 season resulted in Conference runner up and although third place in the Division they scored enough points that they would have been second in any other division. The roster still has no yeti.

The 2013 / 14 season was fairly uneventful except that a Yeti had been rostered but was killed in the last game of the season.

After a rest from the league the Marauders are looking forward to the 10th anniversary season. They have been busy finding another Yeti to join the team. The Ragnarok stadium has also been increased to take capacity crowds. Not a season to talk about ending 1 place lower than a rookie Norse team.

HDWSBBL - Did You Know

No. 2 Most Useless Player

Some managers recruit new talent to help them win games. Some hire players to boost the numbers up and many recruit them to use as shields on the field. However the Karond Kar Corsairs coach Zandarik Deathbringer, thought he had hired the lastest talent to his team. A young lady named Venonia Spite, who the coach had high hopes in bringing the team luck and victory. This was however short lived as she was the qucikest player to be hired and to be killed in their debut game.
The farce happend during the quarter-finals of the 2508/09 Challenge cup aganist the Preverse Maiden’s of Torture, as she was hardly on for a half before the amazonian women tore her to pieces (literally)
