The Deadly Spawn

The Deadly Spawn are a new team, recently arrived in a stray meteor impact. Apparently this is how Slaan teams get around, saves money on Coach fees I suppose.

Their reasons and motives for forming a Blood Bowl team are unknown. Why they would join this league is even more unknown. Lack of pattern recognition perhaps?
Anyway this all singing all dancing team of frogs is ready to take the league by storm, and finally hiring a Kroxigor who is most certainly NOT former Blackburners Minotaur Tantor TE in one of the most blatant acts of CV fraud documented in the sport, they are poised to do… something.

Die, probably, if you look at the stats of other Slaan teams.

But then, if this is the case, why has Innsmouth Shadow coach and wealthy undead business-wizard JoJo Curwen agreed to sponsor and back these team of rank amateurs? Does he know something we don’t? For once?
A more cynical man might draw some conclusions from the fact that JoJo can write the endevour off as a tax-loss, mitigating all that money the Taxman is going to want from him after he won Silverware in Year 10.
A REALLY Cynical man might draw conclusions from the fact that he’s using the Spawns off-shore location to store his money as well.

But I’m sure none of us would be so cynical.

HDWSBBL - Did You Know

WE NEVER TOUCHED THE MANHUNTER’S BALLS!!

During a critical semi-final of the Anklebiter competition between the Innsmouth Shadows and the Middenheim Manhunters, a draw had led to extra time play.
The Shadows were in unseen form, and half of the Manhunters team were unconscious or otherwise in the dugout. Victory and a final against the Beaumont Blitzers seemed to be looming, when the Manhunters ball carrier was shoved into the crowd.

The resulting crowd throw-in however, flew majestically over the Shadows players before accurately landing directly into their endzone, whereupon it was relative childs play for Sam Vimes to skirt past the clumsy hands of the Shadow’s Zombies and Flesh Golems and get the golden goal.

The controversy came when it transpired that the entire front row of the stands where that outrageous throw had come from happened to have been bought up by the entire Loren Rangers.

Understandably, the Innsmouth Shadow’s coach: Joseph “I see pointy eared people” Curwen was less than amused at this.

Though spokespersons for the Loren Rangers have often denied all allegations of ball handling, this incident did nothing to improve Curwens growing hatred and paranoia concerning Elves of all kind.
