The Innsmouth Shadows
In a dark and isolated corner of the empire, there lies the coastal town of Innsmouth. A town caged in by hills topped with strange stone arrangements and deep crevasses bridged by rickety wooden constructions, whose safety seems less than sound, it’s people live in relative seclusion.
Becoming more and more inwards and degenerate in their nature, it’s main contact with the outside world is the harbour. It’s limited but nevertheless a notable trading port.
To this town from Sylvania came one Joeseph Johnathan Curwen. A foul necromancer and diabolist who secretly conducted strange rituals atop the hills and from whose isolated (even for Innsmouth) farmhouse came strange lights and sounds from both above and below ground.
Eventually, even degenerate Innsmouth couldn’t stand for “JoJo” no longer, and twelve resolute men led a party of a hundred men and descended upon Curwen in his farmhouse.
Of what transpired then, was never known. Two of those twelve were never truly the same again, and four died there and then from the horrors under Innsmouth. Non the less, Joeseph Curwen was no more.
This outcome however, was not entirely unforeseen by Curwen. The things he had conjured out of the warp, escaped one dark night. And under his command from beyond the grave they exacted his revenge on those surviving twelve before Wizards from the northerly city of Arkham banished the fiends.
Then, three hundred years later, through the necromancers planning, his surviving descendants resurrect him as a Liche. However the process was costly, and the Curwen finances were not what they once were. So Joeseph Curwen gambled the last of his finances, ancient gold, stolen from the barrows under the hills, and formed a Blood Bowl team to try and revitalise his finances that way.
It has not been the best of financial ventures all told, but instead of cash, Joeseph found something deeper in the game. Something enduring, something pure… a fanatical hatred of elves.
The Innsmouth Shadows are Sponsored by House of Ry’leh Bed and Bathroom Fixtures (“At House of Ry’leh even dread Cthulhu lies dreaming”) which allows them to fund hot-dog vendors (previously fans had to rely on the occasional rain of electrocuted frogs for mid match food) as well as other stand improvements.

| Dear Commissioner, Whilst I would never accuse the Tail Slammers of cheating, this is mostly because it goes without saying. Never the less I think they took it a _bit_ far today. Perhaps a mild reminder to them to at least pretend to play by the rules would be in order - Yours expectantly - JoJo | ||||||||
